Plan for independent workers

On September 16, 2021 French President Macron announced a new plan in support of independent workers. This plan, which will be discussed in parliament in early 2022, purports to enhance the legal protection of independent workers and encourage the creation of new businesses. One key measure of the plan is the creation of a single legal framework for independent workers. This legal framework protects the personal property of independent workers. Creditors will only be able to seize the professional property of the defaulting entrepreneur.
Moreover, the plan contains measures that aim to simplify the transfer of small businesses and reduce legal red tape.
